"As most of you are aware, Monaco Coach Corporation is out
of business and Navistar
purchased the manufacturing facilities out of bankruptcy, forming a new
company Monaco RV, LLC to run the business. Over the years before
MCC's demise, there were times when he National Highway Traffic Safety
Administration (NHTSA), either on their own or in full cooperation with
the manufacturer, issued recall notices for things relating to the safety
of the motorhomes. Some of our owners are the original purchasers of
a new motorhome, and some purchased used, and may not be aware of those
recalls affecting their coach, or if a recall on their rig was
ever made before their ownership. If you would like to see if
there have been any recalls on your rig, go to the NHTSA website and input
the specifics of your rig, and you can read about any recalls. You
can then check to see if you still have the problem, or if it was
fixed. The web site is http://www-odi.nhtsa.dot.gov/recalls/.
Monaco RV, LLC has no financial responsibility for those recalls, however
they should have the records to advise what needs to be done, or if a
repair was previously made, and if not, what you should do about getting
it fixed."
